La Municipalidad de Goicoechea se identifica con las personas sordas e impulsa programas en el cant\u00f3n que fortalezcan el aprendizaje de la Lengua de Se\u00f1as Costarricense (Lesco).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hay otros esfuerzos que realiza la instituci\u00f3n con el objetivo de motivar la igualdad y garantizar los derechos de esta poblaci\u00f3n, como contar con una p\u00e1gina web accesible para que quienes deseen consultar informaci\u00f3n de tr\u00e1mites municipales, de la historia del cant\u00f3n, entre otros detalles lo hagan sin dificultad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parte de este inter\u00e9s tambi\u00e9n toca un tema elemental y en el que el alcalde municipal, Rafael \u00c1ngel Vargas Brenes, trabaja para que sea una realidad y es que haya un servicio permanente de int\u00e9rprete de Lesco para la atenci\u00f3n de la ciudadan\u00eda que requiera de un servicio presencial en el Palacio Municipal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por lo pronto, en reuni\u00f3n que sostuvo Vargas Brenes con Yordi Sotomayor Mora, presidente de la Asociaci\u00f3n Prodefensa de los Derechos de las Personas Sordas (Asoprodedesor), y a la que asistieron Roc\u00edo S\u00e1nchez, jefa de la Oficina de Diversidad de la Municipalidad de Goicoechea; \u00d3scar Segura, funcionario municipal que se capacita en Lesco y la int\u00e9rprete Yuri Mu\u00f1oz se toc\u00f3 este y otros temas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abPuede contar con nosotros en lo que necesiten. La Municipalidad de Goicoechea va en camino a ser m\u00e1s inclusiva para que las personas sordas tengan qui\u00e9n les pueda atender\u00bb, expres\u00f3 Vargas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por ejemplo, Segura, quien labora en el Departamento de Recursos Humanos, est\u00e1 en el proceso de capacitaci\u00f3n de Lesco para convertirse en un gu\u00eda de las personas sordas en la instituci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El alcalde municipal le expres\u00f3 a Sotomayor que cuando la Asociaci\u00f3n as\u00ed lo considere y mediante coordinaci\u00f3n previa puede disponer de un espacio para sostener reuniones con el grupo, participar en miniferias y bazares que se organizan con emprendedores con discapacidad, as\u00ed como utilizar el parque Centenario de Guadalupe para alguna actividad al aire libre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00e1nchez destac\u00f3 la labor ardua que se ha sacado adelante, mediante los programas de Lesco que se imparten en el cant\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En este momento, hay cinco cursos activos al que asisten, en total, 150 personas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuando se habiliten nuevos espacios, la Oficina de Diversidad lo informar\u00e1 a trav\u00e9s de los canales oficiales de la Municipalidad de Goicoechea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
